Well, you can translate the [VSBuild task](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/pipelines/tasks/reference/vsbuild-v1?view=azure-pipelines) into msbuild command line.

To be honest, I haven't tried it myself but it should be easy in my opinion.

Also, it is already more than 3 years since this article. I am disconnected from NET now, but I'm sure things have improved as time passed.
